Gossiping in the Upper East Side!

There's no secret, when I think of the upper east side, the first time that comes in mind is the famous TV Series, Gossip Girl. After spending hours re-watching the show and getting style inspiration from each of the episodes, it was time to head back to the Upper East Side, NY.

The Upper East Side is a great location to embrace your classic, but yet fashionable style. For this look, I decided to go with a more formal look, but still fresh enough to beat the hot and humid summer weather of New York City. While picking this outfit out of my closet, I kept three things in mind. One, keep it classic, and sharp. A suit is usually desired, but when it feels like 100 degrees outside, I don't know about you, but I ain't wearing that. I picked one of my favorite navy blue vests and paired it up with a similar color dressy shorts since I was going heading out for the day. Depending of your occasion, if is an important event or etc, I totally recommend to wear a full suit, but most importantly, wear light pants.

Second, add a personal touch. I have recently purchased a new white shirt with a fun print of little reading glasses and I thought it was a great idea to wear it to add some fun and personal touch to this look. Since not going to lie, it sometimes could look a bit boring and plain. When it came to shoes, a pair of nice loafers came to mind. Specially for this look, I decided to wear my favorite pair of loafers, and since I know I can walk in them for a long period of time and still feel comfortable, they make the perfect pair of shoes for a busy day. Third, is all about the accessories. To finish up this look, I added a nice skinny black tie for that formal sharpness, and a pair of sunglasses, to add drama and mystery to this look. Can't forget to keep up with my time when It comes to a busy day, so I wore my all time favorite Apple Watch with the navy blue sport band to match to keep my on track.
