Gay Street | NYC

Can't buy uniqueness!

Like I mention in my previous post - Heavy Heat - coming up with outfit looks during high weather temperatures, can be a bit hard, but definitely not a task we can't solve. During a nice, warm day in New York City, my partner and I decided to go for a small adventure.

While walking on our way to west village, we came across Gay Street. One fact about this street, besides the name, almost every time I come around this area, I always come across this street. To the point, I created the phrase, "You're not in New York City, till you pass through Gay Street".

Before this day, I went to do some grocery shopping at my local Walmart, and if you're like me, I find Walmart style quite okay, but when it comes in finding my size, I do struggle a little since I like my clothes a bit more fitted. So, I usually don't even bother stopping through that section, till that day. And let me tell you, not sure if I was in the mood in trying something new, but I did end up making a couple of extra purchases. One them was this light blue button shirt, which I find quite fresh and stylist, perfect for a causal day, and also, a pair of light grey sneakers, not were only for eight dollars. During this time of the year, I get crazy about hats, I found this Nike grey cap in Walmart for only thirteen dollars, I couldn't say no to that. Like you can see in this post, I basically purchase most of this outfit from Walmart, and I also had to add in my favorite skinny jeans, and a pair of sunglasses to finish the look.

I'm a big believer that you can buy clothes, but definitely not buy style, and that's why I was really happy to have found those items and rock them like no one else could, in my own unique way, just as unique as Gay Street.
