Blue Vibes

Calming and relaxing but also cold and careless!

While looking through my closet, I realized I have a lot of clothes with the color blue. And even while trying to avoid it as much as I can and give other colors a try, I can't help myself from choosing it from time to time. What exactly does the color blue means and what does it has to say about myself and my style?

As someone who works in marketing, color in a big tool I use often in creating posters and campaigns of most of my customers. But seeing myself as a product and understanding how I'm representing myself in the public eye when I wear the color blue is something I needed to do some research on. I normally would go on a deep research but unfortunately getting to the right people isn't always that easy. So I did what normally anyone would do, google it.

To help myself understand this curious color situation, I needed to refresh myself exactly what the color blue means. According to Google, "Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven." After reading this description, it really opened up the idea of who I am and the kind of person I'm trying to be. But it also brought the question of how is this beneficial to myself and why I choose the color blue so often. According to Google, "seeing the color blue actually causes the body to produce chemicals that are calming; but that isn't true of all shades of blue. Some shades (or too much blue) can send a cold and uncaring message." I had to stop myself and think for a second after reading that. Because I often choose dark shades of blue over light. In fact, I consider the color Navy Blue my favorite color. I do agree that I have a stressful life because that's just the way life can be, but I'm always trying to find ways of keeping myself calm and relax. And I do feel calm and confident when I wear items with the color blue. I also have to agree on that "cold and uncaring" statement. I have to be honest, sometimes when you are focused and trying to achieve something, sometimes we have to be cold and uncaring about some situations.

After educating myself more about the symbolization of the color blue, I learned a lot about myself. From how I am representing myself to the world to how is helping me in creative ways. For this outfit look editorial, I decided to showcase exactly that. Wearing my favorite color, I wore this navy blue blazer along this light blue sweater. Not only I love combining different shades of colors, but also because I feel like these two colors are a great representation of myself. To help enhance these two items, I paired them with a pair of light beige pants and white leather sneakers for a more casual look. Lately, I've been wearing these light shade aviator sunglasses, and they were the perfect last touch to this outfit look. Hope everyone learns something new about myself as I sure did. That's all for today, and I'll be seeing you all in my next post!
