Chinatown | NYC

Discovering different worlds within NYC!

One day while watching the beautiful skyline of New York City from one of my favorites rooftops of all time, it came to my mind in how New York City is like a mini version of the whole world. There's so much variety in this city that even by going to certain areas of it, it can feel like you just traveled to a different world. My first stop, exploring the neighborhood of Chinatown.

I have visited a good amount of different cities within in the U.S to say that most main cities have their own version of Chinatown. Even though San Francisco's Chinatown is considered the biggest, I would have to say the one in New York City is a bit more authentic. Though I have never been to China myself to actually compare, New York's Chinatown has been one of the oldest neighborhoods in New York City. Though I have only been in this neighborhood a few times before, my latest visit was more than what I expected. Not only I was surprised to see a lot more natives than I thought of seeing, I also got the change to educate myself in some of the items available in their supermarkets thanks to a couple of locals I got to meet.

For this occasion, I decided to wear a bright yellow turtleneck sweater with a pair of brown pants. I accessorised this look with a pair of brown dress shoes, a limited edition bear chain from Coach and a pair of cleared aviator eyeglasses. This look was inspired by the bright colorful signs seen all over this amazing neighborhood, but also, inspired by the fun and modern culture they as inspired to.

I had a great time making this editorial and learning more about different cultures, but the adventure isn't over yet, we still have a couple of places to visit. That's all for today, hope everyone enjoy this post and I'll see you all in my next post!
