Summer 2018 Recap

U.S.V.I, Puerto Rico, Fire Island and more!

Summer has come to an end, but the memories will last forever. Compare to last year's summer season, this past season can't compare nothing to it. Being considered the best summer season I have ever had, here are a couple of highlights of my summer 2019.

My summer usually starts around my birthday in the month of May. Every day, I feel blessed for having the best and most amazing friends in the world. And one of them this year blessed me by giving me one of the best birthday gifts of all time, a paid vacation to the U.S Virgin Islands.
(Read more of my birthday vacation to the U.S.V.I by checking out my Outfit Look Editorials - U.S Virgin Islands, Christiansted | St.Croix & Charlotte Amalie | St.Thomas) After having an amazing time in the U.S Virgin Islands, a little mistake gave me the opportunity to spend some time in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Upon arriving back in New York,  I couldn't wait to start my summer tradition of spending time in some of my favorite summer locations. Since last year's summer season I didn't get the chance to do so because of personal reasons (Find out the reasons in my latest Outfit Look Editorial - Moving On!) this past summer season I decided to not only spend some time in some of my favorite summer locations but also discover new ones. For my trip, decided to take a thrilled visit to Six Flags Great Adventure. In case you didn't know, nothing makes me more excited than extreme adventures and was really happy to have visited this park once again with some of my closest friends.

Who doesn't love a good party, especially on a boat at open sea! I know I do, and this past summer season I was so happy to be invited to so many of them. I remember early this year asking for changes and part of those changes were to have more boat parties during the summer season. Little did I try, I was having one mostly every weekend. Talking about weekends, there's a place I didn't get the chance to visit last year's summer season but I got to visit often this year. And that place is Fire Island. Taking advantage of living close to it, this past summer season, not only I got the change to spend some memorable days in this amazing island but also got to share those moments with more people like myself.

I remember the first time I attended the Gay Pride Parade in New York City. I was young and didn't know what to expect from it, but once it was over, I couldn't wait for the next one. Lucky for my second time, I got the chance to be part of the parade and ever since, I have been walking the parade every year. Once again, unfortunately, I missed the chance of walking in the parade last year, but this year not only I got to walk the parade once again but I got to do it with my best friend. On this same day, I also got to connect and meet amazing people like myself and some of them, I'm happy to call my friends.

What do you do a year later on the exact day your ex broke-up with you? You throw a party! And that's exactly what I did. Luckily for me, that day turned out to be on a weekend this year and the hottest weekend of the year too. So I decided to throw a party one of the fanciest hotels I know, at The Empire Hotel, in New York City. Even though I was planning on spending the weekend living at this hotel, my stay ended up getting a bit longer and basically end up living at The Empire hotel for almost a week. Yeah, breakups can actually be good after all.

How do I know I have the best and most amazing friends in the world? By the way, we arrange trips. Let's say we make a great team when it comes to arranging trips by wanting different things that somehow, it all makes together at the end. During the middle of summer, I wanted to go camping, one of my friends wanted to go to New Hampshire and my other friend just wanted to go for a drive. Mix it all together and we made a camping trip to New Hampshire. One of the most memorable moments of this trip was getting to jump into the hole around 30 feet high and of course, making my two fancy friends camp in the middle of nowhere.

Before the end of summer, there was one last location I needed to visit. And what matter way to enjoy the last couple of summer days at The Hamptons. Even though I got to visit The Hamptons last year too, this year was a lot more fun and more adventurous. Not only I got the chance to visit The Surf Lodge, but also got the change to visit good friends that I haven't see in a while. Even though The Hamptons was my last trip of the summer, my summer didn't end there. Heading back to New York City after a relaxing and warm weekend getaway wasn't too bad because an important season was about to start. The new season of New York Fashion Week once again was filled with a lot of running around, full of outfit changes and connecting with inspiriting beautiful people. This past summer season was unreal! Unreal because I wasn't expecting this summer to go as amazing as it did. And yes, even though I ask for changes early this year, I wasn't expecting changes to be this amazing. This past summer season made realized that things do happen for a reason and being surrounded with people that inspire you and supports you, the world is unlimited. I was really happy to have ended this past summer season by attending one last boat party. But this boat party wasn't just any kind of boat party, it was the celebrating of one of my friends birthday and what a better way to do it than along the amazing view of the city of New York City.
