Design Shades: Silver

Reflecting Light!

A great way to brighten and freshen any room in your house is by simply adding a touch of silver/platinum. There are a lot of benefits when it comes in adding silver/platinum items into your living space, here are a few reasons and inspiring ways to do so!

When it comes in adding silver/platinum items into your living space, not only will these items will help you achive a modern and futuristic design, but also will make any room feel bright and fresher. Normally when it comes to a modern design, colors like white, black and beige are normally used. But to turn a modern design into something more modernly futuristic, silver/platinum colors are the best way to go.

Silver/platinum items can be hard to find, especially when it comes to more tiny accessories. But luckily bigger items like lamps and coffee tables are more easy to find. Normally a great way to find items with this color is by simply trying to find items with a mirror-like look to it, or items with a mirror or glass incorporated. Typically these items also made in materials like aluminian and/or metal.

To make sure these items blend well with each other and other items, keeping the actual room wall-color in a light tone is a major key to achieve this modern and futuristic design.  As mentioned before, when it comes to a modern design, colors like white, black and beige are normally and silver/platinum items mix amazingly well with these colors. Another great way to achieve this design is to incorporate flowers and other natural items with natural-colored colors.

Because of the mirror-like look, most of these silver/platinum items will reflect natural light. Spreading light within the room itself, making any room brighten and giving a fresher feel to it. This also makes any room great for work and socializing.

Below are a few photos we collected to get you inspired and showcase how others have achieved their own modern futuristic design using silver/platinum items. That's all for today, and we hope to see you all on our next design shades post!
