Bringing It Back | NYFW

New York Fashion Week: Day 2

My second day of New York Fashion Week was very special. Not only I got the opportunity to work with a few other fellow bloggers and influencers on a special project, but I also got the change to bring back a few styles I used and still love.

Starting off my day around six am to have some time to prepare myself physically and mentally before taking on a busy and exciting day ahead. I would say the temperature dropped much lower than the previous day, so wearing laters were once again a must. This time, I decided to bring back my classic fedora hat style in memory of my first official look for my first New York Fashion Week season back in 2014. To give this look a more memorable feel, I also decided to shoot this look in what I consider one of the best locations the shows used to take place.

After having expended all morning working along with other bloggers and influencers on a special project, it was time to head to my first show at the day. But before heading to the show's location, my team and I made a quick stop at Skylight Clarson Sq. This was the location were a few of the runway shows and presentations used to take place. For some reason, this location stopped being one of the official locations for the shows and that made me a little upset. Because this location in my consideration was a great location for the shows to take place. But I guess I wasn't the only one who made extreme changes last year.

While stepping out of the car, it didn't take me a while to realize the colors of the surroundings were coordinating with my outfit look. That little moment made this outfit and this location more meaningful and even more fun to shoot. Back a few weeks ago, I purchased this long green coat from forever 21. Though I'm not a big fan of green or toned colors, for some reason lately I have been getting and purchasing a lot more items with these colors. But can't really complain because they do make a nice color combination and during this cold winter season, these kinds of colors make the weather feel warmer.

A few minutes later, it was time to run again and continue our way to our first show of the day. Unfortunately, this first show was also my last one of the day because I had a family night out planned for that night. But don't worry the JV Team were able to make it to the rest of the shows so you guys wouldn't miss any of the coverage.

I would say the highlight of my second day of this season of New York Fashion Week was to be able to work on a project I have been dreaming on for so long now and being able to have the collaborate support from other bloggers and influencers in the industry have made this season a really special one. And it feels right taking a moment in remembering how it started, even if it is by wearing something similar to what I wore back then. That's all for today and I'll be seeing you all in my next post!
