Yes, Maybe, No?
New York Fashion Week is here once again and as excited as I might be to be covering some of the most anticipated shows of the season, there was a slight chance for it to not happen at all. Forget about weeks of planning, this season we went spontaneously.
Just the day before the new season started, I changed my mind and decide to personally attend fashion week for just one single day. Because of timing, I needed to come up with the most spontaneous plan ever. That meant changing RSVPs to yes, last-minute shopping for outfit looks and while at it, set meet up times to get to see a few friends while they were in town.
Lucky for me, I was able to put and shop an entire outfit within two hours before all stores close. Yes, that's how spontaneous the situation was. I didn't even have an outfit in mind but was really please with what I was able to find. I first found this navy blue cropped jacket. I was so please by it, I wanted it to be my statement piece. I styled it with a light beige turtleneck shirt, plaid light pants, and classic white leather sneakers. Regardless of the freezing temperatures I still decided to rock this look and make the best of it.
Thanks to the busy schedule I gave myself for the single day I was attending, I didn't get too cold because of the constant running around from place to place. I would like to take this time and give out a special thank you to the JV Team for their amazing work during this season of fashion week regardless of my attendance at some of the shows. Even though I only decided to attend for one day, I'm really happy to have gone and get inspired by the few collections I got to see. I'm excited and looking forward to the next fashion week season.
