Bedroom Tour
For some weird reason, I often find myself making arrangements around my house. If I do not change the color of my walls, then I'm arranging or changing furniture. My latest project was my bedroom, which I’m excited to show and share my decor inspiration with you all.
As many of you know, I moved into a new place a year ago. Though the original decor was warm and simple, it just didn’t fit with my vibe. I love keeping things simple but with a touch of personality. In all of my previous bedrooms, I based the decor on a set of colors and all of them included the color white because I love white. For this bedroom, having white was no exception, especially on the walls, but I also wanted a pop of color that would bring a unique feel to it. So I decided to go with the color black. Black is in contrast to white and if is used right, it can really bring a fashionable and modern feel to it.
The color of the walls set the vibe of the room but the details in it really help brings it to life. I decided to add furniture and decorations that would contrast the color of the wall. Meaning I wanted white-colored items to go around the black-colored wall and black-colored items to go around the white-colored walls. This helps the items to be visualized instead of blending with the background.
Years back, I made a DIY post on how I created my custom bed headboard but unfortunately, I got rid of it because it didn’t fit my decor anymore. But lately, instead of a headboard, I’ve been in love with having a big artistic frame above it. Unfortunately, finding the perfect artistic frame isn’t easy, so instead, I decided to take my chances and create my own framework. I’m always inspired by the world and I always wanted a big world map somewhere in my place. Now I’m happy to say I have one and I made it too. (DYI post coming soon)
Now that my bedroom is done, I’m excited my redecorate my office space next - take a look at my office space here. Nothing makes me happier than to be in a place where I can feel and express myself in a way I can’t anywhere else. Or as I like to call it, being in my own comfy world.
