Greener NYC

Make New York City greener again!

One of the last things many people think of New York City is of nature, and for those who didn't know, I'm very passionate about the beauty and the uniqueness of nature and seeing New York City going greener makes me very excited.

Yes, New York City has one of the biggest parks in the world within a city, but doesn't mean is greener. I love my city, but not gonna lie, but we New Yorker's can do much better. Seeing more little parks and gardens within the city and seeing people maintaining nature and going greener, are a few actions and things that proofs there are people out there working and helping out, but that's not enough. While walking through New York City, I found this lovely little garden that belongs to a local church and it was open to the public to help those who need a moment of peace in there lives from a busy city like New York. I though that was a fantastic idea and a great way to help the community and also educate people on how nature is important in the world, but most importantly for each individual.

After continuing walking through the city, I was looking around and I noticed people are actually taking small actions like recycling more, planting pants, even using energy efficient products like lamps in their front entrance powered by small solar panels. But unfortunately that doesn't the case for the majority of houses but I was happy enough to see there are people out there taking noticed of how easy it is to make small changes that make a big difference in a long run. I encourage all local New Yorker's and even those who live in other big cities, to take action and go greener.
