NYFW S/S 2018: Day 1

Keeping it old school!

The first day of New York Fashion Week is really exciting! You're motivated to face busy, long but fun and inspiring couple of days. For every fashion week season my goal is to be prepared ahead of time and get ready to kick it better and better each season. A lot more shows this season, a lot more meetings and photoshoots, here's my first day NYFW!

When I first arrived to skylight - the venue where most of the shows happen - I was really surprised to see how nicer and more organized the place has gotten. Not to forget, seeing more and more familiar faces each season. On my first day, I got the chance to meet two amazing ladies while waiting for a show, they were so inspiring and motivated, they gave me that extra morning jump my morning tea didn't gave me!

For my first outfit look for this season of New York Fashion Week, I kept it old school. I recently was giving a vintage grey suit, unfortunately the size was way too big on me. But I took the challenge in making it work and I was really happy with the outcome. I decided to only wear the pants from the vintage suit and add my personal style by rolling up the bottom of the pants. Since they looked and felt like high waisted pants, I decided to wear a light blue shirt tucked it. To add that old school feeling to this look, I decided to top it off with my dark grey fedora hat and sunglasses. But to keep this look modern, I wore a pair of grey sneakers.

My first day of fashion week went by quite fast, but I was really happy to have started off this season strong and more prepare than I did in other seasons. Thank you everyone for reading this and keeping up with my posts. More fashion week looks coming soon but that's all for today. I'll see you all on my next post!
