Things I'm Thankful For In 2018

10 things I'm thankful for this year!

Wow, can’t believe is Thanksgiving already! The holiday season has officially start & I’m excited to enjoy the best part of the year. This year has been a roller coaster, but I can’t complain, it has been a year full of learning experiences and a lot more. Here are 10 things I’m thankful for this year.

10. A 360 change.

Before 2018 begin, I didn't make any new year's resolutions or goals for the new upcoming year, but I did ask for one thing, a life change.  Little did I know to be careful what you wish for, not only I got a life change, but everything I knew, everything I owned from my house to my job, every little thing has completely changed without even me trying to make any arrangements. Even though I didn't have any input on most of these changes, I am thankful for them for many reasons. Learn to let go of the things I once thought were giving me value and learn to appreciate more things that aren't just materialistic.

9. Part-time supporters.

I can't really say they were friends or people close to me because we didn't get the time to get to spend much time together for who knows what reason. But these people have been part of my life and even though they were for a very short amount of time, they were supportive in many ways.  Some economically, some companionship and some were just very educational.

8. The women in my life.

If you haven't known by now, I am gay! And even though my dad passed away a few years ago, I did learn a lot from him but one thing I was not ready for, was to take on the role of being the man of the house. In the last couple of years, I've been feeling the need for taking the role of taking care of my family and other duties the man of the house usually takes care of. But wasn't till I started taking on the role that I learned the power of a woman. I'm surrounded by amazing powerful women that are hard workers, inspiring but most importantly, have helped me and guide me through my life till today. And this year, I am very thankful to have these women around my life.

7. A F**k Up Family.

I'm sure we all have one, but in all honesty, I can't really complain. It might be small and we might not get along sometimes, but one thing I have to be very thankful for is for the fact that we are still a loving family after all the shit we go through. And no matter how mad we are of each other, we still love each other and support one another.

6. The places I've been.

Is crazy to think that just a few years back I was just starting college with the dream of one day getting to travel to places I never in my life though I was able to go. I can't deny that last year I got to visit places I always dreamed of visiting thanks to someone very special that came to my life. But after that person left, it didn't stop me from continuing this dream. This year I'm happy to have traveled somewhere each month of the year. And for that, I'm really thankful for life for giving the change of doing that and hoping to continue doing it for many years to come and hopefully more often too.

5. A new job.

Like I mentioned before, my life this year has taken a 360 change. Part of those changes was my job. Even though Javiortiz.com is one of my business, I never actually felt comfortable with my other business. Some point this year, I got the crazy idea of just close everything and restart again from the begging. Now, I feel more happy with what I have created and been working non-stop in something I have always been inspiring to do.

4. New life goals.

Exactly a year ago, I wasn't able to see what exactly my life would be in a few years, or what the heck I wanted to do in life. I just decided to go with the flow and hope for the best. A year later today, this mind of mine has changed and now I feel more comfortable with myself than I was back then. I have now recreated a few life goals and achievements I would like to accomplish in a few years and I would do anything to make it happen.

3. Putting myself together.

Honestly, last year was a fuck up year. Not one of those years that people complaining for no reason, but it sure was the year I lost myself physically, mentally and emotionally. I ended the year not knowing myself, not knowing what I wanted in life, not knowing what to hope for. But this year, I'm really thankful to have found myself again and realized the power of my creativity and passion.

2. Me.

As crazy as this sounds, I am thankful for myself. I might be a bitch sometimes, I might be rude, manipulative and controlling. But never in my life, I thought that all those things made me the amazing person I am today. I run my own business, I run my schedule, I run my own life and yeah, I like nice things too. I can't be sorry for the things I want, when I want and for my likings. I try to be nice with people and I don't think I'm a monster, but let's be honest, we live in a different world and being nice and being bad goes hand-in-hand.

1. The Future.

One last thing I'm thankful for is the future. I might not know what the future might have for me, but whatever it is, I'm grateful for another day in this wonderful world!
