Things I'm Thankful For In 2020

Thanksgiving special editorial

We can all agree this year has been one of the most challenging ones up to date. Which gave us extra reasons to be even more thankful this past Thanksgiving Day. From my home wearing head-to-toe Express, here are a few of the things I'm thankful for in 2020.

The first thing I'm thankful for this past Thanksgiving Day is for my health. Just a few weeks ago, I was in the hospital fighting for my life due to covid-19. I'm happy to be at home feeling healthy and covid free after dealing with it for almost three weeks. I have never felt more scared in my life, I'm very thankful to have made it through and getting the opportunity to get myself back in a healthy state.

I don't really like to talk about what I'm about to mention, but I'm very thankful to have made it through financially when things were not looking too good. When lock-down started, it really brought a hit on my business. It took a lot of adjustments and time to get my business back on track financially. Though things still not as good as how they were before the pandemic, I'm thankful to still be able to create content for clients and myself while following safety guidelines. I also very thankful for all the collaborations I have done this year. So far I have done more collaborations this year alone than all the previous years combined, to which I'm still very surprised but thankful for the opportunities.

Another thing I'm thankful for is the current people in my life. 2020 has made a lot of adjustments in every aspect of my life, including my social life. I guess 2020 can be said to be the year for us to open up our eyes and see the reality of things. Including, people's true colors. Happy to say, I'm thankful for my family and the friends I have and known for many years and counting. Also, for reconnecting with old friends with who I share many memories and hopefully continue creating many more to come.

And lastly, I'm thankful for Express for collaborating with me in this post. They have actually been really good to me lately and I have known Express for many years for me to notice the amazing change they have done with their clothes. From quality to style, Express knows what you need to look and feel your best. For this editorial, I'm actually wearing what I wore for my Thanksgiving dinner. I wanted something cozy but yet put together. I wore a turtleneck sweater along with a long sleeve shirt both tucked-in for a more old-school style. I wore pants because that's normally what I wear and of course a pair of white sneakers for a more casual feel. What did you wear and what were you thankful for this Thanksgiving? Let me know in the comments and wish everyone a belated Thanksgiving.
