One of my main focuses this year is getting back into fashion, and what better way to do it than to attend New York Fashion Week once again. To make it a big welcome back to the fashion industry, for my first look I decided to embrace a current fashion trend, skirts. 

For this first look, I decided to wear a shirt. Not only did I see this trend starting off about two seasons ago, but also saw it making a quite often appearance in many recent collections. I was able to find this shirt grey suit a few days before fashion week and I'm glad I wore it for my first day because I felt empowered and didn't feel like I had been missing for the last few years. I paired this grey skirt suit with a brown long coat and platform back loafers with black cocks. The night before the first day of fashion week while trying on all my looks, I noticed something was missing around my neck. I found a piece of ribbon that came with one of my blankets and turned out to be very similar in color to my suit. So I decided to tie it up around my neck a little tie and I think it pulled this look all together. 

I'm so happy to be back and surrounded by people who are also inspired by fashion as much as I am. Also, I was a bit surprised I haven't lost touch with how to survive fashion week because as I have mentioned in many previous fashion week posts, it can get crazy crazy. New York Fashion Week is here, I'm here again, and can't wait to share with all my fashion week content over my socials.
