Bryant Park | NYC

Fresh air and casual stress relieve!

When it comes to summer days, there's nothing more fun than heading out and enjoy the warm weather. Specially, when you have parks like Bryant Park located within New York City, at the corner of 42nd Street and 6th Avenue.

When I'm bored, stressed out or just needing some air, I like to put on my favorite music playlist - current music playlist coming soon - and head out for a walk. Everyone has different ways to clear their minds and over come stressful things that might be effecting them, or just the need for some sun and fresh air and Bryant Park is a great location for it. Besides being a great place to stress relieve, and catch up some vitamin D. It's also a great place to catch up with close friends, meet new people and for this occasion of visit, even to enjoy a ride in a carousel. Let's be honest, I don't even recall the last I went in a carousel, but it was nice to experience something that brings fun memories from my childhood. Yes, there were some weird looks when I went on it from elderly people, but I was enjoying it like if I was a five year old.  Like I mentioned in one of my previous post - Greener NYC - New York City can be stressful sometimes, and enjoying locations like Byrant Park, sure brings me back the reason why I love this city, the people and most importantly, being thankful for the lifestyle I live.

For this look, I tried to keep it casual since I was heading out to the park, and wanted to feel comfortable, but not trashy, we fashionistas know the deal. I matched my Forever 21 green pants with a nice short sleeve blue plaid shirt, also from Forever 21. To toned-down the colors a bit, I decided to wear my high ankle light beige sneakers, in which, I do not suggest to wear any kind of white or light color shoes if you're heading to a park knowing you might be running or doing extreme physically moving with your shoes. But that wasn't my case since I just wanted to enjoy some fresh air and stay still for a moment.  Unfortunately, I was working, so it required me to bring my work supplies with me in my new H&M bag. Can't go no where without a pair of sunglasses, and for this look, I picked a classic style sunglasses frame to add a bit of edginess to this casual look I was going for. That's all for today, and I'll see you all in my next post!
